ABOUT A REAL ESTATE CAREER

The real estate profession has expanded and offers one of the widest career selections in the business world today. Helping people buy and sell homes and commercial property, property management, land development, urban planning, real estate counseling, and research are all aspects of a career in real estate.

A career in real estate provides flexibility and freedom to set your own pace. Income directly reflects your efforts, with no limits on what astute, hardworking men and women can earn. Successful people in real estate are goal-oriented, persevering, self-motivated, ambitious and people-oriented. The rewards of a real estate career are a potential for high earnings, status in the community, autonomy, time freedom, helping people, the intellectual challenge and the satisfaction from those accomplishments.

Entry into the real estate profession takes preparation. As with other professions, licensing is required. Prospective salespeople and brokers are required to pass a written state exam. Prior to taking the state exam, one must successfully complete an approved 60 hour pre-license course. Additionally, salespeople must complete a 30 hour post license training course within the first twelve months of licensure in order to be issued an original (permanent) license. Tennessee School of Real Estate offers the required 60 hour pre-license course to prepare you for the state exam and the 30 hour post license course to get you up and running. Additionally, we offer continued education for licensed salespeople.

Our instructors have over 20 years of combined real estate experience and their one goal is to ensure that you are prepared for the state exam.  We have different instructors, that offer different teaching styles and different schedules.  You just have to pick which class works best for you.
